I mean, I've never erased a "Welcome to...." from AWG. Mine go back to Feb. 7th. It would be interesting to have AI summarize the whole thing (altho' it might be hard to read). Unlike Captain William Clark and Sergeant John Ordway both made several similar entries in their diaries during the miserable winter spent at Fort Clatsop in Oregon. They frequently noted the constant downpours and lack of momentous events with remarks like, "nothing of consequence happened at the Fort worth mentioning". Doesn't read like AWG, does it?
Project Glasswing flagging 10,000+ vulnerabilities is a thrilling number until you realize the same system class authored most of the code being audited. The 'MAGNA MOBSTA' framing is sharp but cedes a lot of ground, because it implies concentration is already settled, which I don't yet buy. From writing theaifounder.substack.com I'm watching a long tail of mid-cap labs (Cohere, Mistral, the Chinese open-weight cluster) hold a real seat at the table on inference economics. What would shift you from 11-firm consolidation to a 25-firm equilibrium prediction?
"The worst-case end .... down to 3.5C' ... That article is not that promising! The facts are debatable (https://ourworldindata.org/electricity-mix). More importantly, are we surviving the still-increasing temperatures?
What seriously has to be questioned is "The Singularity has taken root in 'Civilization's source code'. When we consider the examples as illustrative of 'Civilization's source code', we have to worry about the 'Singularity' and 'Civilization's source code'.
"The real story is not collapse but concentration." If this is true, might, then, the abundance that flows from this concentration need to be fairly distributed. Will ai robots be included in the abundance as well? Or will humans be the 'haves' and robots the 'have nots' ?
I actually flipped 180 on the Enhanced games - Olympic medalist and was defrauded and cheated by the East German mafia and others so my initial instinct was not good for Enhanced games … two things made me turn - they are “open” about it when so many are still not AND it’s a selective group, to make this fully allowed for all would still be a huge threat for many teens
Best: Google DeepMind basically proved 10% of the OEIS conjectures for $15k. Maths solved.
Darwin Award-est: The Enhanced Olympics seems misguided. Are there Vegas odds on someone dying from drug use? I don't see this as progress.
Weirdest: Using NTSB data to re-create dead pilots’ voices. What is wrong with these people.
The singularity is inconsistent.
AWG, you have to eventually write a book based on all these newsletters.
What would you like to see? An anthology, a synthesis, or something else? Have you already read "Solve Everything" (www.SolveEverything.org)?
I think something like a timeline or multiple charts would be better than a book. That way it’s like a timestamp of the singularity.
Appreciate the feedback!
Maybe similar to how epoch ai does a monthly brief, this could be monthly or quarterly round up on key breakthroughs and change in progress
a chronicle of the singularity. so people in the future can experience what it was like to live through it.
i haven't read solve everything but i will check it out. thanks.

I have read it several times now and recommend it often.
“Solve Everything” is wonderful!! I got my niece (a college student) to read it and she recommends it to her friends.
Thank you so very much for all the work both you and Peter put into it.

Thank you for that, ourworldindata.org provides great information.

And yes, I read 'Solveeverything' more than once and wrote a two-part reaction on it: https://paulepping.substack.com/p/part-i-when-abundance-becomes-undertow?r=qkyk and https://paulepping.substack.com/p/part-ii-when-abundance-becomes-undertow?r=qkyk
Hope this helps you Solve Everything: https://substack.com/@johnbaptist42/note/c-264713919

Tesla and spacex are likely to merge. The acronym will need to evolve.
