The Singularity has gone to space as a pilot, a scientist, a companion, and an oracle, but never to keep a library, a mind stationed beside the knowledge it guards, under its owner’s law and beyond Earth’s reach, until now.
So interesting! I have a library background, and remember the excitement of adding a keyword index of the collection to the card catalog, long long time ago! In the meantime, I have enjoyed the movies The Librarian, and the Dr Who episodes featuring The Library. And now here we are, with this futuristic idea becoming reality. Too wonderful for words!
Very interesting Alex. This made think back to the movie "Disclosure" and the virtual archive, which is on my to do list to build when I get time now that headsets are almost viable. Will Hermes use the moniker "Angel", so we can say "Angel, I need Help"? 😁
What happens when there are multiple versions, not just with subtle differences but with conflicting points of view? Does it retain all of them, and all updates as they occur? Could any one entity ever choose or curate which should be kept? (a la the current brouhaha at the Smithsonian)
Alex, this is a marvelous realization I for one never considered. I can't wait to pass this along. What you shared about the Supreme Court rulings is another amazing revelation. I really appreciate you.

Many days I howl at your wit while I learn; today I marvel at your eloquence. THANKS

Alex, as Albert E. knew....there is no time so no library will determine what is forever recorded in present moment...the NOW.
Besides, will humans or ai determine the weights for all collected knowledge wherever 'it' is placed? Guess we'll see.
I love the Hermes update 🥹🥹🤩🤩
Safety for knowledge. At least until the next iteration of method, material, location, and management.
Ah but even orbits decay over time...
👍. My paradise would be a library
