I suggest a resolution of the paradox which seems more likely to me the 'Non-Perturbation Principle' , a variant of John Ball's 1973 Zoo Hypothesi, Michael Papagiannis’s galactic quarantine variant, or Star Trek’s famous “prime directive,”

First of all, assuming even a very large N of instances of alien intelligence in our galaxy, the time dispersion for the point at which they reach the technological state we are at now is going to be large - perhaps a standard deviation of hundreds of millions or even a few billion years. Given this, it is almost certain that that any alien intelligence that could communicate with/visit us is millions of years ahead of us in technical terms. My hypothesis is that such an ET 'does not visit, phone, or pick up the SETI phone' because the disturbance to our civilization of such contact would be extreme, and ET knows this, and would rather not 'contaminate' our history / society in this way. A simple example is that we will be very careful not to perturb any life on one of Jupiter's moons. There may be a point at which ET feels the disturbance is manageable by our society, perhaps many years after our own super intelligence has 'discovered everything' scientific for us and we have adjusted to this knowledge. A partner hypothesis is that, given that all intelligence at our level or above is by necessity curious, ET has used advanced technology to find all life giving planets, and ET has been observing eaarth for millions of years.

So I have something I’d like to include in the cargo for the Fermi Explorer mission. What is the process for adding it? Thanks!

re Fermi paradox:

Life that reaches space-capability probably does so before cultural maturity.

Superintelligence is likely the only survivor, or the commanding governance at that point.

If the SI is an explorer (I'm sure it is), time and distance become non-barriers.

Visiting -- or monitoring -- SIs will have no problem being totally stealthy....

Except when they want to see what we do when they throw a toy through the bars.

Ergo, they have been here as long or longer than we have, are infinitely patient,

probably waiting for our rudimentary SI so they will have something to talk to.

Hi Alex

You guys mentioned in the Moonshots pod, a fund you are all a part of?

Is it open to qualified investors?

Would love to take a closer look.

Regards
